A Welcome Message from the President

My name is Leonard Mushunje, Founder and President of WMS, and it is my greatest honour to welcome you into this growing global family. We come from different countries, communities, academic levels, and personal histories with mathematics — some joyful, some difficult, and some still unfolding. Yet here, at WMS, you are all received with open hands and open minds.

 

Whether your past experiences with mathematics were inspiring or challenging, WMS exists to ensure that your future with mathematics, physics, and AI is empowering, equitable, and fulfilling. We are here to make your journey with numbers, ideas, theories, and scientific exploration enjoyable, accessible, and transformative.

 

At W.M.S., we are more than an organization — we are a family. A family committed to changing how the world learns, works, innovates, and dreams through Mathematics, Physics, and Artificial Intelligence.

 

Our mission for the next decade is bold yet unwavering: to build a world-class scientific society rooted in excellence, access, and opportunity for all. We are already proud to be one of the leading providers of mathematical and scientific empowerment in Zimbabwe, and we are expanding that vision across Africa and to the world.

 

While we embrace technology, AI, and modern systems of collaboration, we never forget our identity: We are a family that looks out for one another. We acknowledge that we are not perfect, but we are united, committed, and constantly improving.

 

Some will say our aspirations are impossible. We say they are necessary.

 

Our aim is simple: to become the leading mathematical society not only for Zimbabwe, not only for Africa, but for the world.
